About The Festival

The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy began the River Days festival in June 2007 to introduce the community and visitors to the transformed Detroit International Riverfront. The festival marked the opening of significant portions of the new Detroit RiverWalk and the festival has continued each year to spotlight our magnificent resources and this new destination in the city of Detroit.

Now entering its twelth year, GM River Days will take place June 22-24, 2018. The festival's $3 and $5 admission fees supplement the sponsorship dollars to help put on the festival. Children ages 3 and under as well as seniors ages 65 and up are not required to pay an admission fee.  

Admission to the festival will be free between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, June 22nd.   Also, if you participate in the RiverFront Run you will recieve a free admission coupon.

PLEASE NOTE: Any one between ages of 13 and 17 needs to be with a parent/guardian/family member OR an adult 25 or over at all times. 

Any one age 12 and under needs to be with a parent/guardian/family member OR an adult age 21 and over at all times.

Volunteer

Hundreds of volunteers are needed to make this festival a success. A variety of positions are available from greeting guests to crowd control.

In exchange for your time and talents, you will receive a River Days Festival Volunteer T-shirt, complimentary parking (with shuttle service to the festival), first priority for volunteer opportunities for the 2018 River Days, and for every shift you work, entry in the volunteer drawing for great prizes.
